Canine-Focused Care

Chesapeake Canine Veterinary Medicine

Dogs’ needs are as individual as their personalities, which is why we provide veterinary care crafted specifically for the canine spirit- thorough, thoughtful, and compassionate.

Unlike humans, dogs often soldier on through illness without letting it show. Our team specializes in detecting early shifts in behavior and subtle physical changes that can signal something more serious, giving your dog the advantage of early intervention and tailored treatment.

A Lifelong Partner for Your Dog

Our goal is to help you and your dog share more good days together. We view veterinary care as a true collaboration, one where you’re an essential part of the decision-making team.

Whether it’s check-ups for a new puppy, supporting an active adult, or helping a senior dog stay comfortable, our promise is to stand by you with knowledgeable care and sincere support through every stage of your pup’s life.

Promoting Canine Longevity

Living a long, joyful life doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built through smart prevention, early care, and attention to individual needs. Our wellness approach centers on customized health strategies, from vaccines and nutrition plans to mobility care and behavior support.

We know veterinary visits can be overwhelming for some dogs, so we prioritize creating positive, low-stress experiences using gentle handling, calming spaces, and medications when necessary to ensure that fear never stands in the way of good health.

Our Dog-Focused Vet Services

Acupuncture

A gentle, drug-free therapy that helps relieve pain, improve mobility, and support healing in dogs with conditions like arthritis or chronic illness. By stimulating specific points on the body, we promote natural balance and enhance your dog’s overall well-being.

Canine Diagnostics

Diagnostic testing helps us quickly and accurately identify underlying health issues in your dog, from infections to chronic conditions. With tools like bloodwork, imaging, and lab tests, we can create a targeted treatment plan to keep your dog healthy and thriving.

BOAS Surgery

Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome surgery helps short-faced dogs breathe more easily by correcting airway obstructions caused by their anatomy. This procedure can significantly improve your dog’s quality of life, reducing snoring, overheating, and breathing distress.
